The rippling effects of the situation on our clubs in the Greater Accra Region can never be over emphasized.
The Greater Accra Regional Football Association has launched a special competition to boost clubs at division 2 level in Ghana.
Meanwhile, organisers of the competition have expressed their disappointment in the normalization committee of the lack of financial support over the competition.
According to reports, the RFA Exco drew a pragmatic program and it's relating budget covering all Second Division Clubs, Third Division, Juvenile and Women Soccer in the Region to the NC for Approval and Sponsorship.
Speaking to the media present at the launch of the Greater Accra Division 2 Special Competition, the Chairman of the Organising Committee George Aforklenyuie, said; "After waiting so long a time, we were shocked and dismayed, when the NC made it clear to that there was no money to help us".
He also added that letters have been sent to almost all the MPs under the GT. Accra Region for support as well as many other institutions for help but none has responded yet.
The Tournament is scheduled to kick off this weekend with a total of 86 teams.
