Final Whistle beat Westland FC by 2 goals to nil at the Bright Future Park, Amasaman on wednesday to maintain their lead in Zone 4 of the Greater Accra Regional Division 2 league.

The hosts, Final Whistle had lost their unbeaten run over the wekend after succumbing by the same scoreline to Beautiful Game FC at the Adenta Community Park and were desperate to restore some pride after dropping just 1 point in 12 games prior. The hosts absoluitely battererd Westland, dominating the game from start to finish with young midfielder, Adu Gyimah Castro puting in a man of the match performance.

Final Whistle dominated a goaless first half though the forward line was guilty of mising a few clear cut chances. The visitors were held abt bay through out the first 45 minutes.

The second half also followed suit with Final Whistle piling up the presure on Westland who loked content with the point. It wasnt to be as after a flury of fouls in the 18 yard box went unoticed by the ref, a penalty was awarded to the hosts. Rulin Edwards buried the spot kick in the 73rd minute. With 11 minutes to go, Rulin got his brace after being put through on goal.

The rest of the match was a strol as the league leaders held on to the maximum points.
